Microwave |The Harmful Effects
So your super tired and hungry. You look inside the refrigerator and all there is are leftovers. All you want is to eat and lie down… what do you do? What is the quickest way to heat up your food? You look around and all you see is your microwave. You grab the food and throw it in to heat it up, then you go to your room, and begin eating. At this point your hunger is satisfied, but what about your organs. Did you satisfy your hunger or your health? Did you know the microwave has harmful effects? Let’s take a closer look.
The microwave oven referred to as microwave was first sold in 1946 named the “Radarange”. Heating cooked food by exposing it to electromagnetic radiation in the microwave spectrum, the microwave rarely attain the necessary temperatures to produce Maillard reactions. Maillard reactions is what give browned food its desirable flavor. Heating your food in the microwave can strip away its original nutrients. What may have started with a nutritious plate of food, has now evolved into “dead food” from the dielectric heating of microwaves. The water molecules rotate rapidly in the microwave and in the food in high frequencies which creates molecular friction and heats up your food. This causes the molecular structure in your food to change, and as a result diminishes the nutrient content in the food from the microwave.
Most Hazardous effects…The health benefits of vitamin B-12 are instantly negated once heated in a microwave. There is a 30% to 40% loss of the vitamin when the foods received microwave exposure. The shift of vitamin B-12 to an inactive form of the vitamin was found in foods during the microwave heating process. The assembling of microwavable foods are found to contain toxic chemicals such as BPA, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), benzene, toluene, and xylene. The plastic containers used to heat microwave meals release the carcinogens along with other harmful toxins into your food which is then absorbed by your body. Food heated in a microwave decreased red blood cells, while white cell levels and cholesterol levels increase. The non-ionizing radiation of the microwave can affect changes in not only your blood, but your heart rate.
Eat to live…
With now knowing these things about the microwave, it basically seems as though you are just eating texture. Actually that is simply what is left after using a microwave. I mean what is the real point of even using a microwave at this point? Is your hunger more important than your health? Eating food without nutrients reflect in your life and aura. Let’s live a healthier life. One great remedy is to buy a toaster oven! Its safer and just as convenient as a microwave, just less harmful. It may take a little more time for your food to warm up, but it’ll surely not bring harm to your well-being. One main thing I like to advise many of, is to balance out your plate.
